Dental Fix Rx Appoints Eric Masson to Chief Legal Officer

DAVIE, Fla. – Dental Fix Rx, a fast-growing mobile dental equipment repair service franchise, has appointed Eric Masson to Chief Legal Officer. In this role, he will be responsible for all in-house legal actions, such as reviewing contracts, managing relationships with various law firms, working with various state departments, etc. This will free up the time of executives on the corporate team, allowing them to focus on their primary duties.

An accomplished and proven senior in-house counsel with demonstrated ability to analyze and advise on complicated issues, Masson brings with him 20 years’ experience working with the U.S. Coast Guard in operations, finance and various legal duties. He is a results-driven attorney with a keen sense for risk-based decisions, allowing him to quickly gain the trust and confidence of executive management faced with complex legal matters. His strong financial background also enables a comprehensive understanding of the impact of legal decisions on company financials. He is admitted to practice in Texas, Florida, and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

Most recently, Masson served as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the U.S. Coast Guard Seventh District – the Coast Guard’s busiest and most dynamic operational area. Additionally, he was a Special Court-Martial Judge for the Coast Guard Trial Judiciary. In these roles, he presided over Special Courts-martial cases; supervised junior attorneys; developed, managed and executed the annual budget. His proven record and acumen resulted in his being hand-selected for several high-visibility special projects and international engagements. He earned his juris doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary, Mason School of Business and Bachelor of Science in Management from the United States Coast Guard Academy.
